What is being carried — the commodity catalogue, cargo bookings against a voyage, the consignments and their transport units, dangerous-goods declarations, cargo documents, and the cargo-readiness assessments that gate loading

How cargo is placed and secured — versioned stowage plans with stability and segregation checks, the positions within them, cargo-securing inspections (pre-departure, post-loading, underway), and the cargo-handling equipment with safe working loads and inspection dates

A vessel's visit to a port — the port call with ETA/ATA/ETD/ATD and berth, its arrival/departure/cargo/DG declarations, the requested port services (pilotage, towage, mooring, stevedoring, bunkering), berth-window allocations, and the milestone timeline (pilot on board, all fast, operations start/complete, last line)

The physical move — loading/discharge operations with planned and actual quantities, the tally records that build up the actual figure unit by unit, and the statement of facts agreed between vessel, terminal and charterer

Running the voyage — the leg-by-leg plan and actuals, the voyage-readiness gate before departure, position reports along the coast, operational events (weather, congestion, equipment, cargo-not-ready) and the delays they cause with responsible party and demurrage flag

After the voyage — performance reconciliation (planned vs actual distance and transit, port and delay hours, capacity utilisation, cargo tonne-nm, schedule variance), the evidence register, and operational notifications

Reference data — the organisations (operators, owners, charterers, shippers, consignees, agents, port authorities, terminals, stevedores, service providers, regulators) and the people who act for them
